Accucom was founded in 2002 with the singular purpose of assisting public, private and government organizations in reducing telecom costs and managing expenses. Since the company’s ambitious beginning, Accucom has developed services, processes, and tools that efficiently deliver on this mission. We do this by providing clients with expertise and tools that allow for the “external gap” between telecom vendors and clients, and the “internal gap” between IT/telecom and accounting/finance to be bridged.
Our goal is to provide clients with such a high level of expertise and service that we become viewed as an extension of client organizations; not a typical vendor. Clients are provided with services that allow them to focus on the day-to-day management and strategic business requirements of the telecom/IT infrastructure.
This vision and commitment to client needs, has allowed Accucom to grow at a consistent and exponential rate. The key to this success is strong client relationships. This is reflected in the fact that Accucom’s average client has been working with us for over 27 months. (effective as of Q1 of 2007). We pride ourselves on this type of ongoing client trust.
Although in many cases pricing and rates have gone down in the world of telecom, utilization and dependence on these services have increased significantly for the average mid to large size organization, placing telecom as a top five expense and many of the services as “mission critical”.
Today, with the number of services the average employee is utilizing and dependent upon within an organization, the majority of IT/telecom time is spent ensuring that the organizations services are up 100% of the time and functioning properly … and rightfully so. As organizations continue to become more and more dependant on their existing IT and telecom infrastructure and services, IT/telecom staffing resources in this area are often spread thin and can not attend to those areas which are not directly effecting service availability and uptime.
Unfortunately, these requirements do not leave enough time to properly review invoices and research alternative technologies and pricing. Our experience found that most organizations passed these functions onto finance and/or an administrator within IT.
With a lack of knowledge and understanding of items being ordered and technical information on invoices, most invoices go paid without properly being reviewed. Managing and administrating telecom services is more than just ordering and implementing the services from their respective carriers, it requires day-to-day management of the contracts, invoices, and service changes.
